1、 Overview

This document mainly introduces the hardware resources and usage of Ingchips Technology's DB72C8K1A development board, so that researchers can understand the hardware resources of the DB72C8K1A development board.

As a function board, the development board integrates the functions of usb serial port, jlink, iic and spi interface peripheral chips.

The development board of the BLE chip of Taoxin Technology is used with the modified function board, which is convenient for burning and debugging the peripheral interface.

2、Hardware resource

DB72C8K1A evaluation Board,mainly includes STM32 MCU (realizing USB serial port and jlink), temperature and humidity sensor, acceleration sensor, buttons, LED, buzzer, FLASH and other related resources.

Note:

The red box is the indicator light. 1 The power indicator is always on. When the development board is connected to the computer, the 2 indicator should be constant (if the 2 indicator flashes, the USB cable used may be a charging cable, not a data cable). LED 3-6 is on at low level.

The yellow box is the power supply pin of VBAT. During normal use, use jumper cap to short circuit. The VBAT pin has 3.3V power. When testing the power supply current of ING916 and ING918 series chips, connect the ammeter in series at both ends.

The two sides are functional pins. See silk screen for pin definition.

2.1 Power supply

Power is supplied through the micro USB interface. If you need to download the program and debug the Jlink, make sure to use the data cable. At this time, 2 lights up permanently; If only the charging line is available for power supply, 2 flashes.

3.3V external power supply interface (VCC silk screen on the upper right corner of the development board) and GND (GND silk screen on the upper right corner of the development board) are reserved on the development board. When external power supply is used, pay attention to the current limit: when power is supplied through micro USB, the 3.3V current limit is 200mA.

2.2 Debugging interface

The DB72C8K1Aevaluation board integrates JLINK and UART functions, which are implemented through STM32. The silk screen on the development board is U1. In actual use, it communicates with the PC through the micro USB interface. The virtual serial port number is viewed in the PC device manager.

With the Ingchips Technology BLE chip development board, BLE chips can be burned through the serial port.

SW of ST chip_ CLK and SW_ The DIO is led out with a pin, so that the development board can be used as a Jlink.

2.3 IIC interface sensor

The development board is equipped with two sensors, MTS01B (temperature sensor) and STK8BA58 (acceleration sensor).

MTS01B is a temperature sensor, IIC address is 0b1000100; STK8BA58 is a three-axis acceleration sensor with IIC address 0b0011000.

For the use of the sensor, refer to the following examples:

  • Thermometer with FOTA (Thermometer based on BME280)
  • Peripheral Pedometer (Step counter based on BMA280)

2.4 LED

There are 1 tri color LED and 4 green LEDs on the development board. The tri color LED can be used for PWM dimming function, and the green LED can be used as the indicator (low level lighting).

The tri color LED is driven by a special tri color dimming chip WS2811. The chip sends the corresponding control command through a single line, and the corresponding signal is silk screen TLED.

2.5 Key

There are two kinds of keys on the development board:

  1. System keys

    The REST reset button is used to reset the BLE chip.

    EX_ INT button, press and pull down to wake the BLE chip.

    LOAD download key, burning program, and LOAD one button download. You can download the program without pressing EXT at the same time_ INT and RESET.

  2. Function keys

    KEY1-4 users can assign functions by themselves. The position is shown in the red sign in Figure 1. By default, it is pulled up, and pressed down, it is low.

  • HID Keyboard (Bluetooth keyboard example)
  • Peripheral ANCS (Apple Notification Center Service)

2.6 Buzzer

The development board contains a buzzer with a working frequency of 4KHz.

For the use of keys, refer to the following examples:

2.7 ADC

ADC interface (silk screen AIN on the upper right corner of the development board) is reserved on the development board, and the voltage is 1.65V (the voltage is adjustable, and the side adjustable resistor R109), which is obtained from VCC as the voltage divider.

2.8 Chip power consumption test

In the yellow box in Figure 1 of the DB72C8K1A evaluation board, the pin is the VBAT power supply terminal. In normal use, the jumper cap is used for short circuit. When testing the current consumed by the chip VBAT, replace the jumper cap with an ammeter and connect it in series at both ends.

3、Note

  • Pay attention to the current limit when supplying power to external devices through the development board;
  • Power off when adding or removing external equipment;
